Grandpa's Funeral - Day 2

August 8 I picked up Cat from the airport and headed to the manapua shop, just down the street from Lion Coffee. Woo hoo! I got my Lion -- I got my Lion... Finally! I got so burned last time I was here. Closed the first time and then getting there 5 minutes before closing time. Suck. I only managed to pick up some coffee beans from Longs last time. Now! I got mine! It's been a decade since Cat has been back in Hawaii, so she got nostalgic on me, driving to Borders and taking a picture of her old working place. :) We actually helped out at the church early in the morning, setting up the projector, the mics, and the wreaths when they arrived. I am so happy we are all working together to get this done. I am running the show tonight, not enjoying it from the pews. I hope it goes smoothly.

Working hard?! Rearranging the program to accommodate many changes.

I am very happy everyone did their parts. The girls did a good job in their performances; including Britt, (which I sincerely apologize, girl! That was Auntie's fault -- not yours! It took a lot of guts to get up there in front of everyone and I'm proud of you.) Grandpa Felino, Jay, Uncle Ted, and Cat did a superb job in their eulogies! Each did a different and unique presentation of Grandpa and I am so happy at how it turned out. Dad, although last minute, you did an unexpected, terrific and heartfelt remembrance of Grandpa (and short, too!).

I have to get the video now. (Yes, I'm eating my words about the video...)
