Fab Finds on Aloha Friday - 03.26.2010

Last week I took a short hiatus from Fab Finds for family fun in Chicago.  More on that adventure in the future.  Let's get to the Fab Finds for today...

While hanging out in the Twitter universe, I came upon a most beautiful pendant made with layered paper  from a little Etsy shop called TheSpacesinBetween.  I was awed and inspired by the amazing craftsmanship that I decided to make PAPER the theme for today's Fab Finds.  Allow yourself to be inspired by these amazing adornments and artwork all in paper!

1:  Peacock Feather Layered Paper Necklace by TheSpacesinBetween
This is the source of inspiration for today's find.  I am amazed at how layers of paper can be joined, cut, sanded, and smoothed to look like layered multi-colored gems.  Terrific!

2:  Googie in Avocado Cards by Crafterall
I love the three-dimensional quality of this hand-cut layered paper art.

3:  Blue Tulips Moleskine Rules Notebook by Shoofly
A unique artistic notebook hand printed in two layers of color - beautiful.

4:  Paper Wrapped Stratum Spiral Ring World Map by Robayre
The focal point of this cute ring is the spiral rolled paper set in a bezel.  Very cool.

5:  Handmade Upcycled Cuff Bracelet - Multicolor Mod by Craftyluna
At first glance, I thought this was fabric.  I was surprised to see the design is made with paper!

6:  Bunny and the Crystal Gems by MollyJey
I can only imagine the steady hand one would need to cut the layered pieces for this one of a kind art.  A very cute composition for spring.

7:  UPsideDOWN Set of 4 Magnets by GreenPost
I discovered GreenPost through a link on Crafterall's etsy store.  The artist recycles paper from other Etsy artists and creates beautiful tags and three-dimensional magnets for the home.  Eco-friendly and fabulous!

8:  Orchid Cup - Origami Flower Earrings by HandmadeHaven
Uber-cute orchid earrings made from origami paper and layered and combined with crystals.  Adorn thee with paper. :)

Please spread good karma and check out these fabulous artists and their Etsy shops!  Happy Aloha Friday!
